Frankincense balsam - The exclusive frankincense balsam
Produced by the Dr. R. Charles Fernando method from the resin of protected, unique and wild-growing African frankincense.
The scent of frankincense is unique. The sound of its name is associated even today with a hint of the mystical. The value of this raw material has been known since antiquity. The Egyptians needed a whole year to bring frankincense from the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula to Petra. And even in the 21st Century, no effort is spared to extract its beneficial effects. Traditionally, the frankincense for our products is grown under strict quality controls on a protected plantation in Africa. The highly sensitive essential oil is extracted using a particularly gentle process: it is distilled from the frankincense resin using steam. In this way, it retains its natural purity.
Sheabutter
The sheanut tree (karité or African butter tree) grows in the Savanna areas of Western Africa. It is hard to multiply and the first flowering takes 20 years. It does not reach its full yield for 50 years. It appears as though the tree were collecting energy for the fruit which has extraordinary qualities: even under tropical conditions, sheabutter remains fresh for three years. As a smooth basis for our frankincense balsam, it makes artificial preservatives and stabilizers unnecessary. But it can do more than that: sheabutter helps the frankincense to penetrate especially deep into the skin.
Weihrauchbalsam/Frankincense Balsam
is unique in its composition. Thanks to the combination of proven and appropriately balanced ingredients of natural origin, the balsam is versatile in uses for the skin, mucosa, joints and musculature. Recommended application:
Apply a small quantity several times a day to the affected area and gently massage it in.
